COVID-19 Reality
Businesses must now ensure they are following Worksafe BC guidelines for employees and their customers if they want to be open and stay open for business.
Level one - Physical distancing
Many companies are offering signage that can be provided for floors and carpets. Rowe can help by providing fencing (with signage attached), rope and stanchion and retractable stanchions. We can also help by helping you source the supplies you need
Level two - Engineering controls (barriers)
Where workers, customers and others can’t be physically distanced safely then barriers must be installed. Barrier cleaning must be included as part of your new process. Rowe can help by the provision of Disinfectant & Sanitizers such as Quatromyicide II
Level three – Rules and guidelines
Continued Disinfectant & Sanitization must be followed. We must all be diligent to keep up the process.
Rowe can help by providing a sanitization service where we visit your place of business and spray a disinfectant & sanitizer on all surfaces once a day, twice a week or once a week. We can fit your schedule.
Restaurants
Restaurants are limited on their floor space usage. There are many different ways to expand your floor space and still follow Worksafe BC guidelines.
- Place a large tent in your parking lot and expand seating capacity while keeping physical distancing guidelines. You could even share the space with another restaurant or two and create a food court.
- Place multiple 10 x 10 tents outside and create pods with a single table for two or families of six. Add lighting and other décor.
- Adding a tent is great for guests who are waiting in line to enter or for picking up orders.
- Create an outside food prep area if you need more kitchen space
- If you have an outdoor area and don’t need a tent, we can even provide patio tables, chairs and umbrellas
- Add a hot water handwash station with soap
- We can also help with tables, chairs, heaters, fencing, sanitizing stations, lighting and much more
- Provide a sanitization service of your premises
Grocery Stores & Farmer’s Markets
Consider putting a tent on a sidewalk to cover patrons as they wait in line to enter into the store. You could also create a drive through lane for cars arriving for a grocery pickup or even an area where workers can organize grocery orders.

Funerals have been a challenge during COVID-19 and will be for some time due to the mass gathering restriction. Adding tents for funerals or receptions might be the only way for some to meet physical distancing guidelines and say goodbye to their loved ones.
